Whether you’re 15 or 55, everyone has those days where they just feel ‘stuck.’ Not sure how to get to the next level in your career? Not reaching your goals? So overwhelmed that you haven’t even had a chance to set goals?

If this sounds like you, kick your feet up with a hot cup of tea and read on!

Write, write, write. If you’re feeling stuck, grab a notebook!

Expressing your feelings on paper is a great way to organize your thoughts and come up with a game plan on how to shake it off.

According to Thrive Global, “writing down exactly what you’re feeling and where you’re struggling brings the problem to light.”

Pro tip: If you’re feeling stuck in a position, title a blank page of your notebook “Point A → Point B.” Underneath it, write your current education and position.

Then write out where you want to be in 5-10 years. Now fill in the blanks on how to get from Point A → Point B.

Work it out!In the famous words of Elle Woods, “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t.”

Sometimes when you can’t figure out which way is up, a killer workout can help you reset. It’s a major stress reliever that will help you take whatever you’re feeling out in a constructive way.

Look at your goals. If your goals aren’t somewhere you can see them every day, consider this:
print them out and put them up on the wall. Every time you walk past them you’ll be reminded of exactly what your hard work is all for.

Make sure to use Entrepreneur.com’s tip of creating SMART goals. This means that each goal you choose is specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time bound.

Tap into your network.Often, we can be our own worst enemy. Reach out to a friend or mentor for their thoughts on your dilemma.

Chances are, they’ve gone through something similar in their own lives - or at least know someone else who has.

It’s reassuring to have a reminder that it’s okay not to be perfect. No one else is either!
